HypePlanner.com

HypePlanner is an Instagram growth service that claims to get you “up to” 1000’s of real followers per month for a cheap price. The service has good reviews all over the internet, even on Facebook! However, we believe most of these reviews are fake.

Pricing

Hypeplanner costs $99 per month. We appreciate this simple price point but we don’t appreciate the illusion of a limited-time deal that exists at all times.

Service Details

This is likely a basic follow and unfollow service. You will certainly see some results while using this service, just not results worth $99 per month.

Also, the cancelation policy is bogus. You know they’re using bots behind the scenes, but they require 72 hours for cancelation?

Integrity & Reputation

First of all, the idea that any service can get you thousands of followers per month is preposterous. Things don’t work that way anymore, at least for the generic customer.

This is the only service I’ve noticed that has excellent Facebook reviews. However, if you spend a few minutes assessing these reviews, you’ll notice that they’re mostly fake.

Huh, that’s weird. What are the chances of a Stanford graduate having a bunch of friends from Africa while also having a newsfeed filled with random recommendations?

Next, Trustpilot:

At first glance, this looks like a classic fake review distribution. Compared to all the other services we’ve looked at, would you believe that a business could have 80% of 112 reviews be 5 stars and 13% be 1 star? That seems … odd.

Let’s look at the obvious ones:

Hm, that’s an odd thing to say. An odd way to phrase it, at least. All you need to do is check this user’s history to see …

Oops, a review for a competitor! It’s obvious that this is a shill account. The language and cadence of most of the other reviews matches this. But then the negative reviews are all very specific. All you need is one like this to blow the facade–clearly it’s a follow/unfollow bot service, and apparently not a great one at that:

Conclusion

This service charges elevated prices for a basic bot growth plan. They are dishonest in that they buy fake reviews on multiple platforms and it is likely that there is a very small team behind this product. Despite the pretty branding, we can’t recommend this service.

InstaBoostGram Instagram Growth Service Review

Our Grade – D

An SMM service with plenty of red flags.

At a Glance

InstaBoostGram might take the cake for awful service names in violation of Instagram’s branding. InstaBoostGram is a classic scammy SMM (social media marketing) panel which sells you bulk fake activity. If you just need bulk fake activity and don’t care if these actions disappear in a short period of time, this might fit your needs.

Pricing

Instaboostgram offers fake Instagram activity as well as fake activity on other platforms for inexpensive rates.

The prices are pretty much irrelevant. It’s not worth comparing prices in this realm, as you’re likely just throwing money into the void.

Service Details

This is a panel service which means that likes and other activities are sold in bulk. Instaboostgram sells Instagram followers, likes, and video views, and youtube, Spotify, and TikTok activity.

They claim that they provide instant delivery and will “refill” the accounts when they inevitably disappear. It is possible that this service is actually re-selling a cheaper service’s activity.

Integrity & Reputation

Instaboostgram has awful reviews on Trustpilot. The few positive ones are all paid reviews from people in India and similar countries. None of the negative reviews have been responded to. This dramatically increases the likelihood of the service being a single-person operation.

The worst part is that they lie about the follower quality. The website copy gives you the impression that the followers are “real” accounts and that they’re “active.” In reality, they are low quality and owned by the service provider. They will never interact with you ever again after the first time.

Also, though this site has been around for a long time, it is worth mentioning that the branding is so old that it matches pre-Facebook Instagram layout. It isn’t a good sign that the site hasn’t seen many major updates over the last half-decade.

Conclusion

We highly advise against SMM panels as they are in direct violation of Instagram’s Terms of Service. This provider isn’t a particularly good or trustworthy service, so we’d recommend looking elsewhere.

Fan Harvest / Recurpost Instagram Growth Service Review

Our Grade – X

This service shut down around the same time as other major providers in mid-2017.

Fan Harvest was an all-in-one Instagram marketing software solution. Their team had mastered Instagram’s private API. They were able to create many useful functions that, even today, aren’t commonplace.

Though the service shut down in 2017, they did rebrand as Recurpost, offering their post scheduling tools as a standalone service.

Pricing

Fan Harvest offered three plans at wonderful prices. Their cheapest plan only cost $15 per month. You could schedule posts and grow a single account for a cheap price. This was probably the best service in its era, for the price.

You could scale up the service by paying $40 or $65. Frankly, all were great deals!

Service Details

Fan Harvest was one of the most impressive services in its era. They had a talented development team that had created many useful tools. We scoured the internet and were unable to find a single review critical of their service.

Their new offering, Recurpost, seems like a more advanced offering that is compliant with Instagram guidelines. It’s probably worth giving it a shot!

Integrity & Reputation

The offerings were straightforward. Back in the day, service providers didn’t have to lie about their products. Limits back then were much less strict, so everyone got great results. Most unhappy customers were simply really stupid people.

Based on the name and the remnants of the team we could track down, this service was likely based in India. That’s not a bad thing, provided they didn’t lie about it and were still able to offer active support to US-based customers.

Conclusion

Fan Harvest, despite a baffling name, was a valuable Instagram service provider back in 2017. We view the business fondly, and encourage users to check out their new offering called Recurpost.

This service shut down during the ban-wave of 2017.

Though not as popular as Instagress or Mass Planner, two services which shut down earlier in 2017, Archie.co was a well-known bot service provider.

Pricing

Archie offered a 3-day free trial and had reasonably-priced plans starting at just $20.

Service Details

This was a bot service back when bot services worked really well. The pricing was inexpensive. Users flocked to services like these. What was provided by Archie influenced the platform of the modern Instagram growth services.

Integrity & Reputation

We were never able to identify the owners. We also are not sure why this service specifically was shut down while there were about a dozen well-known providers also operating at that time. It has been suggested that this was due to blatant references to botting on the site.

There has been some controversy as to whether Archie did anything shady when they closed. Joey Mottershead seems to think that he got screwed, but the story we’re aware of is that they continued servicing all customers through the end of June.

Further, the rumor is that they continued providing service to all customers who were grandfathered in to their stealth phase.

Let us know if you’ve heard otherwise!

Conclusion

Our team is less familiar with Archie than the giants of the 2017 “golden era.” The service was shut down but customer satisfaction was quite high. There are also rumors that the dashboard remained accessible to customers well in excess of the shutdown date.

Service Details

Instago is a smart web-based service for Instagram Management and Promotion. We help people and businesses to get more followers and likes on Instagram and grow their social impact. Our Instagram bot is based on the idea of follower for follower strategy.

This is, potentially, the most honest description ever provided by an Instagram growth strategy. No lies, no crazy promises. They just tell you how it works.

The general idea on other review sites is that automation services are bad. Why is it that automation services are the only ones to give straightforward explanations of what they do to grow your account?

Integrity & Reputation

If this was a modern service, we’d probably give it a ‘B’ grade. Generally, bot services aren’t effective and often have poor customer support. However, when a bot service is honest about what they’re doing, that’s something we can appreciate.

The service maintained an active presence on Twitter but their presence was otherwise not notable. There is no independent review platform containing reviews of this service, as this service must have been basically closed by the time Trustpilot came around.

Conclusion

This was a straightforward botting service that met an unknown fate. If you know more about what happened, feel free to reach out to us.

Growthoid Instagram Growth Service Review

Our Grade – F

A new, high-volume service that tells boldfaced lies while enraging customers.

View our grading methodology.

At a Glance

Growthoid is a newer Instagram growth service designed to separate the uninformed masses from their money as quickly as possible. They claim to have real people working on your account, which, based on our experience, the price, and the onslaught of negative reviews, is a big ‘ol lie!

No fakes, no bots. Just real people working on your account.  The way it should be.

We’ll see about that!

While we can find dozens, if not hundreds, of dissatisfied customers, Growthoid remains a viable business because a lot of customers never write reviews or request refunds. There is also a chance that their basic growth methods are simply tolerated by some customers.

And, if we can be frank, there’s a new clueless businessperson who Google searches “Instagram growth service” every minute. We wish they all would read our website first!

Pricing

Growthoid offers two plans, one perpetually discounted at $49 and another priced at $99 per month. These are pretty common price points especially among the generic deceitful providers.

Service Details

Huh? If this service doesn’t use any automation and you just have people sitting in an office somewhere clicking, how could any customer possibly get 800 – 1500 followers per month?

Even if they were able to guarantee such insane follower growth, how could they afford to pay their employees? Dedicated account managers … everything done by hand … $50 per month plus technology fees? This is preposterous. They can’t possibly be running the service manually.

Growthoid also can’t possibly guarantee that no bots will interact with your account. They might not control the bots, but it’s inevitable that a few will see you and engage with you, for reasons outside your control.

Integrity & Reputation

The shill reviews that they buy try to claim that the service is based in the United States. However, a quick trip to their Terms of Service page suggests otherwise:

Any dispute will be handled in UAE

Growthoid, which claims to be a US-based service

Growthoid claims to do business as an LLC known as Growthoid, LLC. On their signup page, they claim to be based in New York, New York. So, we checked the New York State page for business registration.

Oops!

We couldn’t find the Growthoid record anywhere.

What about the team? Does anyone anywhere on the internet identify themselves as a Growthoid employee? Again, no. We couldn’t locate a single team member, not even the owner.

Well, once you’re signed up and are within their 14 day “no questions asked” refund window, where’s the form on their website that allows you to request it? Again, you have to email them. You probably also have to email them to cancel your account, which is very dishonest. This doesn’t benefit the customer at all.

Let’s get back to the fake reviews that they purchase.

Seeing a review distribution like this is just hilarious. However, there’s no pattern. Just a ton of bad reviews. Most of them have weak responses, it’s not worth exploring in further detail.

Outside of the pretty website and the ugly Trustpilot page, this website’s name is plastered all over the internet on pay-to-play blog sites. It is a shame that it is so easy to manipulate search rankings.

Conclusion

Growthoid ticks nearly every box for dishonesty. We’re shocked that such a new service with so many red flags was able to so quickly rise in popularity. The service may work decently for some customers but every part of their business is based on pulling the wool over your eyes.

We strongly discourage use of this service until they implement more transparency and alter their branding.

Pricing

GMT2 was cheap software that put everything in the user’s hands! $10 per month was just as cheap as Mass Planner.

Service Details

This was a fully-featured app that allowed you to fine-tune your Instagram growth experience. Unfortunately, it also left you exposed to all issues which could be a significant time sink.

During most of Gram Multi Tool’s existence, Instagram was always one step ahead, and users were left to the futile exercise of trying to outsmart Instagram despite not having the resources to test any suitable number of accounts.

For the price, and when things were good, this was a useful service. For most people, it ended up being a major source of frustration. The learning curve is pretty steep.

Integrity & Reputation

GMT2 got great reviews on Black Hat World. As the name suggests, Black Hat World is a community where people buy and sell services that typically run afoul of providers’ terms of service.

The forum is ultimately a pretty awful place, as the users are almost exclusively people looking to make money dishonestly despite having any real skills. It’s really frustrating that interesting projects and discussions are often overwhelmed by some of the dregs of the internet.

Anyway, this service worked for a while. There are 150 pages in the official thread. Unfortunately, this service met an unceremonious end. There were many Instagram updates during the summer of 2019 and the owner simply abandoned the project.

From what I can tell, there was no official statement of any kind. People gradually realized that the project was abandoned. I wonder how many of them were still paying!

I find it odd that the owner never posted any type of statement about this (that I could find). He proceeded to start a TikTok growth service in July 2020.

But … he abandoned that project too by the end of 2020. People were not happy and the thread was locked.

Conclusion

The Gram Multi Tool saga helps illustrate why we do not give ‘A’ ratings to any services that are single owner-operated. There are too many business risks. When things get difficult, one individual or even one individual and his developer cannot usually handle new coding challenges in reasonable amounts of time.

It also shows how short peoples’ memories are. This project was abandoned, the owner wasn’t disciplined, and then he started another project where he ended up taking people’s money and ghosting again, though he only ran the new service for 1/15th the amount of time.

Owner’s shill account on Reddit

Pricing

The cheapest plan from Relaxed Social wasn’t very relaxing. It cost $99 back when this type of pricing was preposterous. Presently, some services are able to attract customers at the $100 price point with lofty promises and slick branding. Truthfully, even today, most aren’t actually doing anything special.

It’s likely that Relaxed Social never got off the ground.

Service Details

Relaxed social, on Reddit, claimed to do things without bots. But also conflated this with “organic” activity. On their website, they refer to organic activity, too. What does that mean? Essentially, nothing.

We see no evidence that this wasn’t simply an expensive bot service masquerading as something else. It’s also possible that it was an experiment gone wrong where the owner had no idea what he was doing.

Integrity & Reputation

The Reddit marketing push hasn’t been particularly successful for any company that has done it. Do I personally trust any company who shills for their own products on Reddit? Not really.

There’s such a low chance that this company was doing what they said they were doing at such a low price. Back then, they were still able to take “hundreds” of actions per day per account. How could you hire someone–anywhere–to do that while still making a profit? You can’t.

Conclusion

Relaxed Social was a forgettable growth service but is notable for being one of the first to utilize Reddit for marketing while claiming to grow accounts by hand (before that even mattered). Behind the scenes, the owner was probably just running Follow Liker.

Mass Planner was a desktop app that could be used to automate growth activity on a plethora of social networks. It was shut down at nearly the same time as Instagress in what was a coordinated effort.

Pricing

Mass Planner cost $9.95 per month. Due to the similarity in price between it and Instagress’ $9.99 per month, it seems plausible that both services were developed by the same team.

In any case, $10 per month was a bargain! This service was powerful. The only downside was that you had to keep your computer running in order to continue to get results.

Service Details

This was a feature-rich, kitchen-sink application. You could do anything and everything that had been discovered for the private APIs of any of these social networks.

Today, Google Plus no longer exists, while LinkedIn and Facebook are now considered all but impossible to automate.

There were so many features available from this service that it is impossible to list them all. You could tune them to your heart’s content. Using these features, many early growth specialists who didn’t have software backgrounds developed more advanced methods which are still used in some services today.

The disadvantaged of local app-based services is that you have to keep your computer running and that you have to run your own proxies, if desired.

Integrity & Reputation

Mass Planner simply shut down one day. They apologized to customers. This was taken hard by marketers around the world, as this was seen as the most popular, most accessible tool in the industry at that time.

We have nothing bad to say about Mass Planner. We’d have loved to know who was behind it, but they didn’t lie about how their service worked.

Conclusion

Mass Planner was the original desktop app used for Instagram growth. It met the same fate as Instagress in the early 2017 ban-wave. It is possible that Instagress and Mass Planner were owned by the same people, which may explain why they shut down nearly in tandem.

Instagress Instagram Growth Service Review

Instagress is widely considered as the service that started it all. Not the first to run or provide an Instagram bot, but the first to offer a dashboard from which users could automate their activity.

Pricing

Oh, that’s why everybody used Instagress! Instagress only charged $10 per month for their monthly plan. This price was absurdly low, affordable even for those in developing countries.

Their 3 days for $1.99 deal was just as good as any free trial.

Unfortunately, our group is unable to reach consensus on just how many customers Instagress had. Remember that, back in 2017, Instagram only had about 750,000,000 monthly users. Today, that number is nearly doubled, north of 1,300,000,000 monthly active users (though plenty are fake accounts and secondary/business accounts).

The original Instagress landing page which still holds up fairly well

Service Details

Instagress provided a dashboard from which you could log in and tune your activities. This was a follow/unfollow service. There were also features to leave comments and likes.

Before the major Instagram restrictions, most accounts could get hundreds of followers per month while using this service. Even if an account’s content was awful, it would be taking so many actions that it was bound to get a satisfactory amount of reciprocal likes.

People often ask us: why? How? Who are the people so interested in these real accounts growing via automated activity? Four years ago, most Instagram users were naive. They simply weren’t aware of the bot activity because it wasn’t commonplace.

Further, there were plenty of users on Instagram who were internet virgins. Underserved communities across the world were getting access to the internet and cheap smartphones. If you are dirt poor living in Bangladesh and you see that someone from America interacted with you, of course you’re going to follow them back! At scale, this is still a great method to get “real” followers.

Integrity & Reputation

Before Instagress shut down, it wasn’t particularly well known that Instagram took a hard line against bots. There had been only a few news articles and nobody was really paying attention to it. Remember: Twitter allows some bots and post scheduling.

It was big news when Instagress stopped operating. Ultimately, many people think that since they used “Insta” in their name, that was the kiss of death. There are a few–though not many–different services from that era still operating. Since this ban wave, Instagram has been more focused on fake accounts, not automated engagement services, which makes sense.

All sources point to Instagress being fairly “trustworthy.” However, as highlighted by the New York Times, they were notably anonymous. Nobody knows who was behind the business and the website still exists, though prominently features the “closed” message.

We speculate that this was a US-based service and that Instagram/Facebook sent a very scary cease and desist letter to the company. They complied and shut down while offering refunds to all subscribers.

There have been rumors that Instagress, along with other shuttered services, have re-opened under other names. We were unable to substantiate these claims.

What continues to shock us is that some businesses still use parts of “Insta” and “Gram” in their names. It’s idiotic. And it’s no surprise that the majority of them don’t end up getting good reviews from our team.

Conclusion

Instagress was an early player in the space that anyone who claims to have been around “since the beginning” will surely remember. Instagram’s legal action against the company surely scared away many imitators. Due to changes in guidelines and bot detection software, we’ve never seen a service operate as cheaply as Instagress.
